The Convention will be held at St Andrews College in Merivale amid a lovely 11-hectare setting of trees and lawns in well appointed buildings that present an interesting mix of architectural styles. As a convention site St Andrews must represent one of Christchurch’s best-kept secrets.

Registrations, social areas, clinics, SIGs, AGMs, displays and a light catering area will all be under one roof in the modern senior college centre. The competitions will be located in a secure room on the first floor of the same complex, adjacent to the 41m x 19m gym that will house the display layouts, trade stands, etc. Close by there is a 200-seat multi-media theatrette. There is under cover access between all these facilities.

Getting There

St Andrews College is situated on the corner of Papanui and Normans Rds, just minutes north of Cathedral Square by car or bus. There is a regular bus service between the city centre and Merivale/Papanui, and there are bus stops right outside in
Papanui Rd.

Merivale Village, a 12-minute walk south from St Andrews has a supermarket and mall, ATMs, taverns and restaurants and a McDonalds. A five-minute drive in the other direction along Papanui Rd takes you to the larger Papanui shopping centre and Northlands Mall.
