• At the venue itself you will find some of the finest layouts from the South Island exhibition circuit.

• We’ve also set aside two half-days for tours of home layouts in the greater Christchurch area.

In-house layouts

Layouts already booked for the venue include Invercargill’s Arauatu, Christchurch favourites, TALMR and One Track Minds, and the West Coast’s Colonial Bush Tram as featured in the latest NZMR Guild Journal. There will also be a three-rail British TT layout, an NZ120 layout and a layout portraying the 1880s Vogel era.

Layout tours

Layout visits are scheduled for both the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

You will be able to take any two of the five available tours covering a wide range of prototypes and scales.

To minimise travel, layouts have been grouped by area with each group comprising four or five layouts.
