NZAMRC competitions

Convention 2010 is the host for the New Zealand Association of Model Railway Clubs’ biennial model competitions. These competitions are run by the NZAMRC Competitions Committee.
Healthy competition encourages a steady improvement in modelling standards.

Models may be entered in any of 12 different categories:

Locomotives.
Self propelled (railcars etc).
Passenger rolling stock.
Frieght rolling stock.
Non - revenue rolling stock.
Trains.
Railway plant and equipment.
Permanent way.
Bridges and viaducts.
Lineside vehicles.
Structures.
Scenes.

Entries compete for four available levels of placing: Gold with merit, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

You can enter almost anything you like so long as it’s connected with railways. As well as such popular items as locomotives, rolling stock and buildings, modellers often enter trackwork, figures, trees, vehicles related to railways and sections of portable layouts.

Some of the work can have been done by someone else, but the judges will only consider the work you have done yourself
