It is not practical for the convention committee to assist with booking accommodation but our carefully researched accommodation guide and map should make the process as streamlined and trouble-free as possible.
These notes may also be of assistance.
Local accommodation
The main entrance to St Andrews College is in Normans Rd just left off Papanui Rd. From here it is about a 10-minute walk south to the Elmwood Village shopping centre. There are a few motels between St Andrews and Elmwood and many more immediately south towards the city centre.
Localities like Papanui, Merivale, Bryndwr, parts of Fendalton, Carlton Mill and city centre are within about a 5km or less radius.

Christchurch has an excellent bus-based public transport system connecting all parts of the city, and Papanui Rd is one of the busiest routes. Buses operate every day over Easter although frequencies are reduced on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. Some destinations will require a change of bus at no extra cost.
The following website gives comprehensive bus information:

Shops
There is a wide range of shops within easy distance. There are supermarkets at Elmwood, which is south along Papanui Rd towards the city, and Northlands Mall in the opposite direction.
There is also a variety of other shops at these centres, as well as at the west end of Normans Rd and in Papanui Rd before Northlands Mall.
There are taverns, restaurants and fast food outlets at all of these locations, and a McDonalds at Elmwood.
