Limited space in the club resulted in the layout being built against three walls which makes it very difficult to access and maintain.
For a number of years the main double track has been automated for the benefit of visitors and in recent times some changes to the track design have been made.
Subject to fundraising and manpower it is hoped to complete this upgrade which will provide the public with a variety of operating trains to view.
The layout in its original location was built on top of a clothes draw.
Two front windows were taken out of house in order to get the
layout on to the back of the truck for transportation to the clubrooms.
